Paul B. Petersen - Luthier PAUL B. PETERSEN has roots that go back four generations in the Hawaiian Islands (Napolis Ohana of Kauai and Samonte Ohana of Maui). He is a professional musician, a guitar repairman a luthier, a stringed instrument artisan, who apprenticed under Kula master archtop guitar maker STEPHEN GRIMES. He was head luthier and founder of what used to be the custom production of Nahenahe Hawaiian Ukuleles from 1993-2000. Today, he has decided to perfect his craft even more by getting into one-at-a-time custom, hand-made fine instruments: acoustic guitars, steel guitars and ukuleles. He approaches his work with the highest standard of quality recognized in the guitar making industry. This commitment to high standards comes directly from his experience, knowledge and training in both fields of MUSIC and traditional INSTRUMENT MAKING and REPAIRING. All instruments are made only on a custom order basis. Paul is also busy accepting the island's stringed instrument repair needs: (ukuleles, guitars, bass, violins) which also include electronic repairs, pick-up installation, custom engraving, inlay, fret work, set-ups.
